The 1910 Fruitgum Company ® virtually exploded onto the National charts in 1968 with the first single release, "SIMON SAYS". The song quickly moved up the charts to become # 4 on Billboard’s Hot 100, #2 on Cashbox, #2 in the UK and #1 in Canada. The band followed up this initial success with another smash hit, "1-2-3 RED LIGHT". The group’s next hit record, "INDIAN GIVER" became the band’s third Gold record. Other releases to follow included, "MAY I TAKE A GIANT STEP", “SPECIAL DELIVERY”, “GOODY GOODY GUMDROPS” and “THE TRAIN”. Several other songs created a virtual treasure chest of albums! 

The 1910 Fruitgum Company burst onto the music scene in the late 1960s with a string of unforgettable hits, including “Simon Says,” “1-2-3 Red Light” and “Indian Giver.” Formed in Linden, New Jersey in 1967, the group became one of the most successful acts of the bubblegum-pop era, earning multiple Gold Records. Their recordings were produced by the legendary team of Jerry Kasenetz and Jeffry Katz.

Original drummer Floyd Marcus remains an important link to the group’s beginnings. Floyd’s uncle, noted songwriter Sol Marcus, was instrumental in creating the demo recording that was submitted to Buddah Records and ultimately led to the group’s recording contract. Sol Marcus also wrote or co-wrote numerous well-known songs, including “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood,” “Till Then” and “I Don’t Want to Set the World on Fire.”

For 28 years, Mick Mansueto has fronted the 1910 Fruitgum Company, bringing the group’s famous songs and the spirit of the 1960s to audiences across the country. As co-owner of the group, Mick continues the Fruitgum tradition with an energetic live show that celebrates both the band’s own hits and some of the greatest music of the era.
